this korean market is great! its odd because on google maps and yelp, it's called h mart, but when you go there you'll see that its actually called oseyo. there are three other oseyos in london, and they're all very cute korean grocery stores. i'm guessing it has been bought or redone since these photos, because the store now has brown wooden-looking shelves and a wooden floor, which is much more appealing than the dark looking store with metal racks in the current pictures. the store is pretty small, but sells a pretty large variety of stuff, heres a list of some of the things they sell: -soft drinks -mochi -tea (including milk tea, which is in my opinion the best!) -seaweed -specialty vegetables -lots of sauces -lots of variety of packaged ramen and other packaged meals -three types of tapioca pearls all of the packaging is of course written in korean, but theres always a little bit of english, making it pretty easy to figure out what it is. if you still don't know, i'm sure the people working there would help you out its all very reasonably priced too. i was able to get nine things for only £16, which would never happen at an ordinary grocery store! i really liked going there and i will definitely be going back :)

Love this Supermarket. It's a small place but good price for Asian food mainly for Korean. Highly recommend!

For those of you that get intimidated by the Japan Center, this is the solution - it's a much more normal sized store, but still packs in a lot of content. There are a large range of Korean and Japanese products, and even a couple of American ones too. Prices are far more reasonable than I would expect - imported A&W root beer was £1.09 for example. The highlight of the trip was that they had ramune- Asian lemonade but in a really unique bottle where it is stopped by a glass marble inside the bottle (see YouTube for how to get the sucker open). Great fun, and great tasting too. Staff were good and I liked the overall feeling of the shop. More ramen than you could imagine. Adding this to one of my secret delights of north London - hey, that should be a list!

A great little shop, full of interesting Korean and Japanese things! It's a tight fit but it's worth exploring the shelves. There's a decent range of fresh, frozen and pantry items, many of which I've only ever seen in the many cooking shows I'm forever watching. We just got a few things - a Korean version of pocky, some hoisin sauce, some sriacha, and a bottle of ramune (which Brian is very excited to open, it's got the marble and everything). Store cupboard items are really well priced, and the fresh/frozen things are a bit high but for imported, authentic ingredients, they're not overpriced. The wall of ramen/noodle soups was overwhelming. I need to do some research into which varieties are the best and come back!

A really fine little korean supermarket. All your staples. Best thing is the lunchboxes; sweet n sour pork, sweet chili chicken, fried anchovies, kimchi, mochi etc all at super cheap prices - between £2 and £5. And they have K-pop!
